Foiled again

I'm trying to create the protagonist and antagonist for a book. They're started...One is the dogged, fiercely protective stream biologist trying to save his children from a deadly secret- the other is a gloriously wealthy person who keeps her food conglomerate at the top of the global food chain...but I haven't been able to visualize them as real people yet. I need to meld them with real people but keep them more exciting. Or maybe they'll develop a life of their own? Anyway, pickleball-too fun to miss, patients, and 3 hours of admin, plus a crushing grocery load kept me away all day. But thanksgiving is coming...

  1. When someone tries to make me do something, I rebel. Gwen, knowing this, gently introduces me to new experiences which I love. I always have many ideas, and a blog is the "new" way of sharing. I am excited to join.
Thanksgiving is already wonderful for me because I can anticipate being with Judy and her family and Lauren who just got accepted to UW. I told her that no one or no institution can ever say no to her. Meanwhile for the last three weeks I have had my house full of very nice guests--sharing the beauty of my place and eating off of all my fancy dishes, tasting new foods which the guests suggest and contribute--all great fun. But, like you Gwen, major shopping is necessary. Anyway, have a wonderful day tomorrow. Soon we will be together in Scottsdale.

  2. Iris' voice! I'm so excited! I love hearing her read aloud, seeing her tiny squarish cursive, and re-reading the poetry that ripples out of her when she spies an accomplishment. I've read her travel journal from the northwest several times but it's never enough. And she barely has the time or desire to talk to me on the phone. But here she is, sharing my tiny little blog planet. Welcome to Iris!
